@on-a-lucky-tide it's not .. it's not even meta. It's the entire internet. If your are putting any info on a server that is not owned by yourself:

- the owner of the server (and if the owner is a company, its employees), have access to all the data you are putting on their servers (and that includes your DMs, yeah).

- if any legal authority demands to have access to that data, it all depends on the will of the owner of the server to fight for your privacy, but if the authority puts enough pressure they'll be granted access almost universally.


The only exception to those points are services where your data is encrypted by a external key provided by you. Which are... Few. Very few.


So yeah, generally speaking, unless you are paying for your own server (with a mastodon or a matrix instance, for example), nothing you write or upload to the net is every 100% private.

Reasons Kingdom Hearts games are super good, actually, 

  • Subtitles are turned on by default
  • They’re never condescending via game difficulty. Easy mode is called “a mode you can breeze through!” and the hard mode is called “for players that like an extra challenge!” There’s no making fun of the player for choosing easy mode!
  • There’s casual reminders that tutorials are in the menu after you learn new skills
  • The games don’t punish you for not using every single mechanic 
  • There’s an ability in KH3 that lets you turn leveling off for no real reason and I think that’s hilarious 
  • You’re not punished for failing, you don’t lose significant progress when you die, you restart from the last encounter or the last save point and the game doesn’t beat the shit out of you for kicks
  • Mechanics are intuitive! There is a natural progression of button usage and it’s very easy on the hands
  • Subtitles are enabled as the default
